I've been thinking about the idea for this illustration for a long time. I started with a sketch, but then I quickly started working in tone from a spot. I hope you enjoy the atmosphere of this artwork!

The sword and the calm but intimidating pose make the character feel confident and unstoppable. I also like how the colors shift from cold tones around her face and hair to warm fire tones at the bottom — it makes the composition very dynamic.
Overall it feels mysterious, powerful, and beautifully designed. Amazing work! <З
