Oh, sweet notion. Characters living against their 'true' nature --- the Reluctant Dragon, Casper the Friendly Ghost, the Hungry Tiger of Oz --- have always been a favorite.

If they little guy ever wants to get into the psychotherapy, I'd certainly love to meet them. I've got anger, rage, fury, frustration, hate, fear and despair that I would very much like to do something useful and constructive with.

I have a character who can shapeshift and can form a hivemind but she's loosely based on John Carpenter's The Thing rather than goo. Kind of a reverse horror, what if the horror monster was just a nice person. She can fuse to others and assimilate them but she can also live within their body without killing them and morph their body into different animals and things. She's not into the whole world domination thing, she enjoys using her powers to help heal peoples' bodies and morph them into the body of their dreams. Unfortunately, she needs to consume live animals to replenish her energy. Also she has an evil counterpart who is trying to dominate the world...

Out of curiosity, does it specifically have to be negative extreme emotions? Because you can have extreme moments of joy, excitement, love, etc. as well. Seems like he might be able to just camp outside a theme park and ride the high of someone having the time of their lives.

He definitely can, but he needs to have a "balanced" diet and he puts off the negative ones for as long as he can until he can't take it anymore. Then things get awkward....
