Like many protogen, Zircon started out life without much in the way of free will, raised and trained to be a stealthy, close-quarters assassin. Like many protogen, he's since shaken off those mental reins and runs his own life now, but when you've been bred to have a certain set of skills, you tend to keep on using them.
