Went to El Matador Beach in Malibu over this long 4 day weekend. I was only able to go there for one day, but I got a lot of good stuff.
Here, sunset rays lit up a rock while the waves washed around it. I used a 9 stop ND filter and polarizer here.
What I did: removed some chromatic aboration, upped the vibrance, selectively added clarity to the lower rock, maxed out recovery in the highlighted areas, threshold white/black/grey balance trick, custom black and white conversion, slight crop down, unsharp mask of (200%,0.2,0).

Oh yea, forgot you were keeping the name on the down low XD It's a CA state beach though. I actually forgot the name and while doing research for great beaches to photograph on, I found it. Low and behold it was the same beach you had mentioned.
Sorry I blurted it out though =X
