Gael is a sleazy business man who runs a fighting ring in Klugetown.

When he found Serpentine wandering around the town he thought she would be a perfect way to give his current champion an easy win.

So he offered her a free meal and a place to sleep if she fought against his champion. Of course he made champion seem less formidable and the fight seem more like a friendly spar in order to convince her.

He was very surprised and a little miffed when she ended up winning, but quickly shifted gears after he realized she had a lot of potential.

He gave her food, water, shelter, medical attention, and training sessions, as long as she fought in his ring.

It was a pretty symbiotic relationship until Serpentine tried to leave. It took a few tries, but she did manage to escape eventually.

Gael can't really afford to exhaust too many resources looking for her, but he does feel very possessive about his new champion and has eyes and ears everywhere. He also put up a bounty for her to be brought back to him alive.
