They surprisingly are. They feel great in the water as they don't weight you down or sag when you get out of water like board shorts, plus they dry SO quick and you just wring em out, put em in your gym bag and they take up little/no space. It takes courage to wear one, and a shame that most people will never because of the taboo or faux pa.
