The comic story titled "Zhang Yuyang's Forest" (which later became an article) was created in June 2025.Made by me and Zhang Yuyang.Why did I choose this kind of childish style with no substance at all?
I can say that Zhang Yuyang has this kind of artistic style, and even more casual. At the beginning, my painting skills were actually quite good (I could draw some realistic plants and trees, or copy things from animations or games). But I don't know why, just because I spent a lot of time with Zhang Yuyang, my painting style gradually changed like this. However, I love this style, as it contains a lot of childishness and so on. Of course, it might also be because I understood it too much.
Why did we design Zhang Yuyang as a cat and a completely uninteresting stick figure?
In fact, he is not like those simple stick figures and cat. They all carry our dreams for the future (Zhang Yuyang the stick figure is an explorer in the later part of the story. My dream is to become an explorer. The cat named Zhang Yuyang was designed by Zhang Yuyang to be a train conductor, and Zhang Yuyang himself most wants to become a world-famous train conductor). So they are not simple.
