Das Biest sollte sich nicht so hängen lassen...
This was originally a doodle. I purchased some new kind of pencils and I wanted to see, how they would do with shading. And so after I had drawn the Beast all down and in suspension bondage, somehow, one by one, I added the village folks as well.
The sketch itself has some flaws in perspective and 3D plausibility, but it was only an experiment. And I think it is done well enough for to be posted as a scraps pic.

Bring the torches, the forks! Praise the glorious and noble society of humans. Which are alway right!
This was sarcasm, of course. But when i look the expresions of the villagers and how "strong" there are now... *urgh!*
BTW, you draw all very good. I see, you've watched the movie very often...

There's some rather nice work with the shading here conveying different tones and textures, just as effective as a full colour work and I think the new pencils worked well. A nice variety of characters as well with the individual villagers and conveying their different reactions to the captured Beast.
I could imagine this as an alternate scenario where Gaston is still villainous though not to the degree where he'd be murderous, preferring for the capture and humiliation of the Beast, hoping for the breaking of his spirit. Maybe waiting for the crowd to disperse and then cutting down Beast, letting him fall to lay sprawled in the dirt before telling him he's free to leave, his hands tied behind his back and ankles still bound, so having to hop and hobble his way along, as Gaston tells him never to come back and that seeing how the villagers reacted to him does he really think that Belle could ever love him.
Then a flex of Beast's muscles, the ropes falling away as Gaston abruptly realises that Beast likely could have freed himself at any time. With a snarl the Beast is looming over Gaston, who drops to his knees begging for mercy which the villagers witness, as the villagers then watch Beast simply turn and walk away.
