My character Lan Huyen as drawn by Quetzal. You can find her work here: http://samuraivero.deviantart.com/
Just a quick thing on the colors. Ki-lin are supposed to be creatures of balance, both of the yin and yang and of the 5 traditional elements: fire, water, wood, metal, and earth. Each of these elements has a color associated with it, those being white, black, blue, red, and yellow. Ki-lin are supposed to be all 5 colors, and my interpretation of that is that his scales would be like how dark oil reflects light. His fur is then black and white.
Quetzal continued the theme with his horn being yellow, and the robes as blue and red with more of the same colors in the details. :)
