Oh boy, this is where I start nerding out. :D
Take the following with a pinch of sincerity and a grain of salt.

I blame Disney among other cultures (Japanese mythology for one) for the misconstrued view of weasels. Seriously, where does this hate come from? Why were they chosen as the default bad guy species?

As far as the Disney and Mr. Toad weasels go, I don't like them. I'm not a big fan of villains usually.
Do they make for good baddies? Yes certainly, but I'm still not a fan.

I don't know if I'd look cool as one of them, but personally I wouldn't want to be one. I'd rather be the guy that doesn't fit in with stereotypes and makes a better name for people that are unfairly judged.

Weasels, as well as Foxes, wolves, and coyotes, have the same undeserved reputation. It probably stems from them being "Farm Pests", eating livestock and such. As natural hunters, it makes sense to go after prey that's the most accessible and caught with the least effort. Livestock in pens, coops, and corals look appear to them as a free buffet. It's not like a wolf or weasel is going to say "Oh, I'm sorry. Was that your food? My apologies. I won't hunt on your farm since you apparently have called "dibbs" on all these tasty animals already (LOL ^__^). Livestock farming is as old as any of the myths that villainize such predatory animals. Thus the deep seeded stereotypes. Kind of sad really... Sharks, Carnivorous Dinosaurs, Big Cats... all often portrayed as the villain just because they EAT. ^__^

Anyway, I was just wondering if your character would look cool drawn in that Disney style, but if you think it conjures up memory association with villains, maybe it's not a good idea.

Good points, sir. I understand where the antagonism could come from, but it's still not right for these numerous animals to be reduced to villain status.

I think I get what you meant by looking like one of the weasel toons, zoot suits and what not. Are you wanting to doodle something to that effect?

My idea was just the style of the weasel itself. The template for the shape (long muzzle, bulbous "Mickey" nose, toony body shape, etc.) with your character, wardrobe, camera/audio stuff thrown on top. ^__^

Ah, I see. Nice idea. I feel kind of silly now taking it so far.
