new prey for the hive
She knew going inside the new hive was a bad idea.
It has been erected out of nowhere, on the edge of the everfree forest.
But curiosity got the better of her, and she made her way inside.
Just like any changeling cave, there was no magic that could be used inside. But for some reason, Blossomforth’s wings had lost all their strength, as if the hive drained her ability to fly.
Exploring the cave, looking at the blue hues, the dark grey rock, the chaotic, unending tunnels.
She found the center of the hive, which contained the queen.
From word of mouth, she learned that her name was Pinkis.
As soon as she stepped out of the tunnel, every single hatchling turned to look at her,
different shades of blue and pink, stared at her, confused as to how she found their home.
“Well well well… Looks like dinner, came to us my darlings! Guess it's time for a more, in-home hunt~”
The changeling queen declared, and Blossomforth turned on her heel and ran. The sound of buzzing,
scuttling and chipper laughter could be heard, as she ran as fast as her legs would allow.
Turning back, she saw Pinkis, standing at the end of the hallway, refusing to follow her, and she looked back in confusion.
Until she saw the queen, slowly beginning to lower her body, into a bowing position.
The lower to the ground she got, the louder and more enthused her changeling spawn became.
Blossomforth didn't want to stick around to find out what was about to happen, as she began running again.
The moment Pinkis’s chin touched the floor, that was the signal for her hatchlings to take over the hunt.
Soon, the hallway was filled, with scuttling hooves, wings flapping, and snarling, as they chased the pegasus out of sight…
its been FAR too long, since i drew my Spider themed, changeling queen, Pinkis.
And this time around, i wanted to draw what the subjects of her hive would look like!
Her hatchlings will get a proper reference soon, this piece was a practice run, while i drew my Changeling queen again.
