Versi — Basically Colin Changed Knock-Off...

Behold, my own human(?) caught in a lab capable of being manipulated into a multitude of shapes! This was a character I had for a game idea. Yes the game and character were inspired by Changed and Colin respectively. But I wanted it to be different, a lot different.
Noticing that Changed was a game people associate with TF and its community, I found it as a bit weird of an advertisement. Sure, the game has cute designs and artwork; however the game both felt very punishing (in a not fun way) and the artwork sometimes felt intended for mature/adult audiences. While I am in the target demographic of this game, it felt off-putting for people outside the community.
So then the idea came for another top-down transformation game, although less about puzzles and more about combat. Instead of using transformation as a punishment, transformation would be the optimal way for fighting enemies. Fast-paced combat heavy RPG which aims to give interesting choices in fighting.
Now to introduce our protagonist of this show, Versi—a shapeshifter only capable of morphing from highly active emotions. Their final forms are stranger than normal shapeshifters, usually being a combination of animal, object, and or concepts. Scholars of this field caught interest and eventually took Versi as their subject. To give the maximum chance of displaying those forms, a stressful environment needed to be made. Preparing Versi with armor and weapons, they are faced with challenge after challenge for the scientist watchers to see the results.
The idea is all over the place and I can barely code a program bigger than a basic platformer, but it would be great to eventually get a prototype of this idea. Maybe if I do make something, I can publish it here! :DFunny story: some forms Versi can take include a ribbon snake, a grenade tardigrade, and a business ferret! They were also considered to be a anthro-deer or a merman at some point.
