All Con Badges [2006-2013]
posted 4 days ago Digital Artist | Support me with Shinies!
There was a time, long long ago, when I did badge commissions at furry cons. I even used to set up in Artist Alley and all that because I really wanted to make a name for myself and gain notoriety in the furry fandom.
Ahh, youth.
It all started in 2006 at Anthrocon, when Uncle Kage commissioned an unknown nobody artist just attending their first con and way in over their head...
That artist was me, as
JTigerclaw
Over a period of a few years, I'd attend furry cons anyway I could, and many times that would mean I'd try to make back enough money on badge commissions to pay for most of the con. That was a simpler time then, when even a few badge commissions would be enough (and also would take me the rest of the con to finish).
Looking at my final output, it doesn't seem like much compared to other artists who churn out this much in a couple months. But that is actually probably a couple hundred hours of work in this art collage.
From a young tiggie just gaining their footing, vigorous and full of drive and creativity. Ahh, good times.
I know this was a long time ago, but looking back at everything, why not celebrate and re-share for a new audience? ;3
