Rice Pilaf + Steak = the most amazing culinary combination since the dawn of time. This is why we need grandmothers.

Braccoli au gratin + steak + sautaied mushrooms = Even more awesome. Hm.. dont need grandmothers if they are mean. (mine were mean...x.x )

My personal fave is 1” cut New York Strip.

I love almost any cut as long as it is thick. I cant stand thin piddely pieces of meat.

The trick is to talk to the butcher.
Even if there are only thin cuts put out, most will gladly do a special cut for you.

BTW: Ever tried North American Buffalo?

True.. Usually they are pretty good at keeping the shelves stocked here.
Nope, Iv eyed some of it here, but its really expensive.

It’s slightly sweeter than cow.
The real trick with buffalo is that it is very hard to cook as it is one of the leanest red meats in the world.
You cook it medium or you burn it to a crisp.

Best first try is to get it ground, brown it and add to a rice or pasta dish.
Still a bit pricey, but it will give you a chance to taste it and get a handle on the cooking dificu8lties.

Steak, sauteed mushrooms, and orzo? Sonovabitch, THAT should be your next bondage pic - someone tied up and unable to nom on that deliciousness.
