More insane choices of characters for me to do fanart of!
This time, we have Ally Cassandra from.... The pilot episode of the bubsy animated series now, this was from my lil' Bubsy hyperfixation, I still love Bubsy of course. Who wouldn't?
....Don't answer that.
Anyways, I liked this one character who was featured in the pilot, she's a (literal!) fat cat rich lady.
(warning, to stay on-brand with bubsy I will be adding obligatory cat-puns throughout this description, expect me to add "nya" to random words if I can't come up with one)
the pilot is god awful but I liked the character design. I think the only punchline of the Bubsy pilot is that its a PILOT episode and you can already tell they were running out of ideas, fast. In an episode where theres a helmet that can just.... create anything. Literally. And also alter your physical form? So it's basically just god mode? With the only downside being it's in the hands of the Bubsy cast. Literally a device that can cause anything to happen. And they're veeeery dry on ideas by the end of the episode, they can't come up with a coherent plot. Might I remind you, A FIRST EPISODE. Can you imagine what they'd have to do if tasked with writing a season of this?
it really is fascinating--You know, you think of all the games that are known for being bad and none are quite as memed on as Bubsy, besides Sonic. And I think a big reason for this is that... Bubsy's characterization often had him as the butt of the joke, his sidekick, Arnold the Armadillo is scared all the time, not like Luigi or early canon Tails, n, this guy is scared of the mewniac that is Bubsy the Bobcat and his demented niece and nephmew! The meowketing for Bubsy: Claws encounters of the furred kind (aka bubsy 1) depicts him as an over-ambitious theatre kid who demeownds attentnyan/respect, you always were meant to laugh AT Bubsy, which makes him really lovable and easy to pity.
also, Bubsy is 100% homeowsexual. There's no straight explanyation for Bubsy. Theatre kid, twink who grows up to become bear, regularly refers to everyone around him as "babe" regardless of sex IN THE 90'S
They can spin the nyarrative that he has a girlfriend in the Bubsy 2 ad, or that he has a female love interest in the new game, but we know he's gay, right?
(unless you're a female bubsy yumushipper in which case you're his exception, or maybe he's bi/pan)
i'm joking btw if you disagree with that headcanon I'm not bothered lol
oh yeah, bubsy yumeshippers, yeah a lot of people want to get it on with Bubsy, Which, going from everyone hating bubsy to full on wanting to sleep with him is absolutely hilarious, OG bubsy is a cute boyfailure and the new design is straight up bara bait so I understand it. (someone get a victorian child to read this pawragraph lol)
pawple also like virgil from the bubsy pilot, and I.... Yep, I find myself enjoying the rich big lady Ally Cassandra. I'd be ashamed but you're on FurAffinity you've encountered worse, probably deliberately. It's specifically when she gets her hair messed up, her regular haircut is supurr ugly.
I don't think Ally Cassandra is that bad a "hear me out" design wise its just the fact she's from the f(:tutorialcat:)cking BUBSY CARTOON
I hate that more and more of my post have just been characters im down bad for, but like, its only been a small amount of my post, righ? Justy Sly, this, and the Snake Bananza. I really don't want to become "the freaky artist", bit overplayed.

This sounds in insane to say, but your description text made me realize I get the same feeline watching the Bubsy pilot as watching Johnny Test (except the Bubsy pilot has better animation). Think about it. Cocky boy gets bored, tries out life altering expeowiment, things go wrong, and 2nd rate villains are involved, he fixes everything by then end and learns nyathing.
But anyway, nice art! An underappreciated character for sure.

oh my goodness dude I had nyot had an actual thought about Johny test beyond funny whip crack in so long, that's SUCH a good point! Honyastly Johnyathan Test is so funnya under the context its a bunch of actual villnyans beefing with some random kid like BRO leave the kid alone so what if he's just a brat who learns nyathing after however manya poorly animeowted seasons there were
