Anyone who uses social media a lot will probably have seen one of those targeted advertisements peddling personalised goods and trinkets - the ones that get a hold of your personal details and try to sell you, say, a watch or a mug bearing a design incorporating your name. I actually didn't know about these until a friend of mine shared his experience of unintentionally flummoxing the bot with his choice of email address (in short, the bots are easily confused by unusual or fictional surnames).
The inspiration for this drawing swiftly followed - aided by childhood memories of seeing similarly cheap and nasty t-shirts being sold at outdoor markets, car boot sales and the like. The reason Kyoko's the recipient is because it was her canonical birthday two days ago - and who else but Blackmask would give her such a tacky piece of clothing?
