I am somewhat disappointed by how plain his species has gotten overtime, he used to be this weird.... Thing, like he was a weird cat goat, demon? He was a bizarre fantasy creature, but now he's just a cat with horns.



Anyways, this animation was going to be set to "the reason" by hoobastank but I struggled to edit the audio to fit what I was going for, I wanted it to be sped up and high pitched but struggled to find a way to do so lol, it was going to have a camera angle change to him infront of a TV playing footage of the hit game "Eggmania: Eggstreme madness". Another reason I decided to restrict this "animation" to being just the first shot was out of laziness lol



anyways, I guess I'll go over the background details.



We got a Canada flag, which is kind of a meta joke, satirizing 2000's-2010's Canadian animation that would remind you at any opportunity that they were, in fact, Canadian. This was also partly inspired by a DM I got from someone--no shade to the guy he's pretty cool, who was a bit nervous at me publicly addressing that I'm Canadian in my profile. Quote "I...honestly wouldn't advertise your Canadian these days :T" and--I do understand where he's coming from, I was raised in a very anti-America household, even before some.... Disturbing events unfolding to put it lightly. Canadian cartoons addressing their nationality out of nowhere isn't really about being proud to be Canadian--that wouldn't really be representative of our values, its about being proud not to be American specifically. I do find it funny though, how we manufactured our own stereotypes specifically so we can have a "brand" to sell at gift shops essentially. Apparently even some of our mythology was made just as a tourist trap? The "ogopogo" was it? (Gotta make an ogopogo oc who is attention starved lol)




next is a.... Okay, I apologize, this is a pinup poster of an old oc of mine, Swindle(who has yet to be posted here on FA outside of this). Essentially, someone I frequently DM'd with years ago was a big simp for her so I thought of adding a little poster of her. She's in her early 40's in the story she's from but her being a model in her 20's is very in-character. No I'm not adding the full res version to this post.... Unless this post does super well



this gag was actually recycled from another animation I was too lazy to do, which had a separate Swindle pinup (though, that one used warm colours so I couldn't use it in this animation) if I ever go back and do that animation it would be really awkward having a second post where a character has a poster of her. Maybe I should replace that one with a separate pinup, or something more tame like a "hang in there!" poster or something, probably the latter.

honestly love this style, its super grunge and I wouldn't mind doing more with it. This guy is just super fun to draw
