Rising Sun is a male light fury who is about as grumpy as they come. He has a no-nonsense attitude and is quite snappy to other dragons outside of his family. As the main alpha of his small family flock, Rising Sun takes his position seriously, but isn't uncommon to find him lounging on the side when he's not needed. He's not particularly fast, but his aim with his plasma blast is almost unbeatable.

Adopted as a newly hatched tiny tooth by Moonwhisper and Moonless, Rising Sun grew up in a fairly large flock with his adoptive fathers. Moonwhisper had more of a fatherly role in his life, while Moonless acted as a silent protector in the shadows when needed. As a young adult, Rising Sun finally set off on his own, but returns to visit his fathers from time to time. While on his own, he met his mate, Snowmelt, and the two formed a pair, eventually adopting a young night fury to start a new, small family flock. Rising Sun and Snowmelt eventually had three offspring to join their adopted, now teenage son. The family resides in a mountainous region not too far away from Moonwhisper's flock, and frequently visit.
