I don't blame you. It's asking you to keep a ton of moving parts in your head over the course of several years when you're reading it as it comes out.
The big thing to remember is that before becoming the top fighter for the Vegar Federation, King was the top fighter for Planet Maniac and went by the code name Ultimo. King works for Discard, and the two have been trying to take Jodocus down from within. So yeah, Jodocus recognizes his King and just exposed King's past by using King's old code name. That's doubly bad as there's a lot of people in the Vegar Federation who despise Ultimo. Now that it's been shown that King and Ultimo are one and the the same person, King's royally screwed.
... Also, it's a little hard to follow, but Ace tried to remove King from the scene before shit hit the fan, but King knocked him to the floor.
