Genies are a bit of a low-hanging fruit for this prompt, but I decided to try for a different spin from both the 'grant whatever you want, no string attached' sort of story and the 'I will do everything in my power to turn your wish into torture' sort of story. The concept I'm going for here is still cliched in it own way, admittedly, but I'm happy with the result.
