The first APUV Prototype shown in my upcoming TH: Sentience series, this is Car12 built for Heisentek's APUV program that was underway as a result of the A.A.i.C. Black Box project. The program of which was in the pursuit of creating proper, sci-fi level Artificial Intelligence constructs, and pairing them with vehicle chassis.
Car12, affectionately named 'Seahawk' by the APUV lead engineer, was the first step in properly implementing all of the company's work into a vehicle of their own design. Unlike Car10, this chassis is a properly designed prototype of the Heisentek APUV (Autonomous Pursuit-Utility Vehicle). While Car11 was an unfinished test chassis, Seahawk was a properly functioning, operational vehicle built by the Automotive 'Johnson Motors' branch of HT. Mated to a modified 6.4L HT Anvil I-D, the rear-wheel drive vehicle had far more power than any of its predecessors. With the emphasis now on feeding as much data to the Black Box A.A.i.C. within, hundreds and hundreds of sensors of all types were built into everything from the shell, to the suspension, to even some parts of the interior. This absolute monolithic step in the project marked a weighty milestone achieved in Q4, 2011.
The rigorous testing of Seahawk lasted several months into the new year where numerous discoveries and lessons were learned by the trial of this chassis. Ultimately, Seahawk would suffer a catastrophic fault on the Black Box Shackle Control System (SCS), leading to the construct entering a craze and rampant state.
While no one was killed in the incident, several security preventative measures had to be deployed to keep the car from leaving the facility.
Their last viable testing session was in April of 2012.
