hey there everyone, got more MLP FiM Art for you. this time we have possibly one of the scarier visions of Nightmare Moon. I was inspired by the theatrical Posters of Godzilla vs Destroyah (the more stylistic ones) originaly this was ment to be a poster in the similar style for FiM parts 1 and 2 but I just loved how Nightmare Moon looks so I made this a seporate element.

when thinking of this design I wanted Nightmare Moon to look more like a demonic entity then anything else. thus I made her pure black but with dark blue highlights for her coat. her wings came out more skeletal and her armor more pointed wich I looked to Halo 3's Arbiter for ideas on that. I also put in finger/claws coming out of her wings to help give that Demonic look. but I wasn't happy till I thought 'wonder how it'll look if her wings looked torn and had holes in them?' so I did that. and man that just realy gave this pic a degree of darkness.

it realy gives that feel of Luna has fallen from grace and is now currupted, her body mutated and twisted and she is filled with hate and anger. originaly her eyes where to be red but when I saw how they looked with that milky white, pupleless almost soaless feel I had to leave it as is. I added some cream color to give her eyes more depth.

"on the post of her banishment, the Mare of eternal night bides her time, awaiting for the hour of her release. plotting her vengeance that will usure in the eternal Darkness she will ensure upon the world but for now, she waits, watching the ponies from above with envious eyes."
