Oh gosh, same! I haven't found anything that genuinely seems to work. I do know that if I'm forced to be social for too long or too frequently the more I wish to be alone! If i keep being forced to be social for way too long, I am 100% certain to badly burn out. ._.
I think it's important to plan your downtime just as much as it is to plan your social time! I made the mistake of thinking my downtime was optional. It really isn't! Like, if you know you need to attend a lot of social things, do something, plan out time immediately after to recharge! If you can limit your time at the event! I try to set the expectation beforehand so I don't look rude, if I can!
I'm mostly saying I totally relate!

Just giving social activities in very small portions! She's just like a roommate i had a few years ago. She was just the same... she just did the daily jobs when nobody was at home so she could feel free and unwatched.
We wrote invitation-cards for simply talking a bit or watch a film together and soooometimes she really joined.
We just must not talk too much, pay too much attention and don't say any comments to her cute anime-attire our plushy-collection. Everything had to be said „passively”. 😏
Also a very nice detail how you've put this little Ahoge on display. It really suits her! ❤️
