Well, in point of view, he was a little too focused on being popular through the artwork he asked (or bought, which I hope he didn't, because he was short on money). And that focus is not good for a long-term line of thought, because you might run out of drawings, or people who want to do them for free, or maybe because THAT'S NOT SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO BE FOCUSED IN, in the first place.
If you're a goddamn stalker with no drawings, you can still be loved, for being a good and caring person.
Anyways, if he was such a great friend, he would have given some contact information so you could reach him through MSN or mail. Furaffinity is just a site, you choose whether to enter or not... you can't "leave" a place which isn't really a place.

On a final note, I'm GODDAMN FUCKING sure that he's still around. With another account and fursona, but he'll come back.
