Damn, this got cooler the more I looked at it and thought about it. Shedding the human skin as part of the transformation is an awesome idea.
Also, if they wanted to blast us in the face with nostalgia and references nonstop for the second half of the game, a sort of Yawn throwback would've been cooler than making us fight a boss we'd already seen before.
