Here’s a redraw of an old char, updated according to the customer’s wishes.

We used a serval as the base so the character would look more visually feminine, and from a leopard we borrowed the long tail and the ring-like markings along the sides of the body. The rest of the spots are also serval-inspired.
The customer also really wanted to keep the hairstyle from the human version, so we didn’t just keep it - we integrated it into the design. The stripes along the back became a perfect continuation of the black hair tips, and the whole spot pattern flows into a smooth red gradient.
The paws and claws were made mint-colored to match the eyes, which pairs really nicely with all the red tones.

It’s important to understand that this is more of a creative concept than a strict reference, so the exact number of spots is pretty flexible. Just distribute them like a sandwich: the serval stripes are the bread, and the leopard markings are the filling 🥪
