Oblicells, the cells that an Obloloni are composed of, are small ball shaped cells that are only slightly bigger than red blood cells. Notable features include a fully functional jaw, a proportionally massive tongue and two fins on what can only be assumed to be the top of the cell. Due to their size, researchers have been unable to see if they even have any interior. Whether or not they are a single cell, or if they are made of several, even smaller cells. When they come in contact with the bare skin of a living organism (or specifically humans as it seems to prefer,) it will burrow in through the skin of the host. Once inside, it will begin to either consume or corrupt red blood cells. If they consume a red cell, they will perform mitosis and duplicate themselves. If they corrupt a red cell, the cell will quickly fade from red to the Oblicells colour and generate the same features as an Oblicell, with no traces of ever being a red blood cell.
The Obloloni (Obling for short) as well as the majority of basic variations follow very similar patterns in both formation and behavior. The skin of an Obloloni is smooth, similar to that of plastic in composition and texture. It's incredibly malleable and yet is able to snap back to its original or preferred position, akin to rubber. Notable features include long digitigrade legs, a short stubby nose, two fins on the head and a large tongue. They can be any colour or proportions depending on preference or what specific group of Oblings they are in.
Beneath the skin is a layer of thick liquid, composed of trillions of Oblicells. If someone were to puncture the skin of an Obloloni, not only would they be risking contamination but the thick slime of cells would very quickly regenerate the open wound. Beneath this second layer, there are simply layers of cells and skin, with a thin hollow tube at the very core of the limbs. In certain examples, this empty space is filled with the remnants of bone marrow, corrupted in the same colour as all else.
