I got the sensation of regret. Like someone was having to leave behind something they treasured and had memories flashing in their eyes as what ever forced them to leave destroys it. A pilot abandoning their ship in space. Feeling from one's home planet because of some cosmic event.
Gorgeous! This piece really carries a lot of depth of emotion with it.
If I may make a suggestion for another piece of amazing music from a fantasy game for inspiration or remix, I'd like to suggest "To Far Away Times" from Chrono Trigger (by Yasunori Mitsuda). I don't even know what that game is about but that piece of music gives me mental imagery of a time and place beautiful beyond words, and it always moves me to tears. I can provide the mp3 if it's hard to find.
