Unless, huh? So, although he was interrupted, it seems that once a person is infected, it's over, they have one of two fates: whether the virus becomes lytic or lysogenic, with feral if it ever enters this phase, or perhaps even can. Apparently that fateful transition happens about 8 hours after infection.
