New Super Mario Bros. Wii: Overworld Music
Written for saxophone quartet (soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone) and piano, this is my simplified take on the overworld theme from the game "New Super Mario Bros. Wii," released in 2009 by Nintendo. It is actually a remake of a song used in the game "New Super Mario Bros." for the Nintendo DS. I wrote this for today, March 10, which is the official day for celebrating Mario Day, just as August 4 is Bowser Day. (Likewise, June 23 is Sonic the Hedgehog Day.)
