Finally finished this. Took me a very long time, months and months. I spent five hours alone on the background last night to get this done.
Yamabuki Ogon on the left, middle right is an Inazuma Kohaku, and on the right in the upper corner is a Ki Utsuri. Three differently colored and patterned koi for a lot of color and variation in this piece, each carefully selected. I tried my best to capture the beauty and grace of the koi and I hope I pulled it off alight.
