this day my old job finally ended up giving me my severance, they deposited it directly to the same bank account where they deposited my salary for 2 years, and it all went down without a hitch.
except that didn't happen. instead they told me that my severance had to be provided to me via a different bank and would have to be deposited to my actual bank account separately by me.
why is it that companies always do stuff like this where it just makes things needlessly complicated. I'm assuming some sort of tax reason or something, i just don't understand why they wouldn't just deposit it to my account and be done with it, the job previous to my old job did that....
