Scarlett and Cole, both the height of a small skyscraper, were having a night on the town, both taking a gentle stroll through the city streets. All seemed well, until Scarlett felt a sudden pain in her chest.
"Scarlett?" Cole asked, worried for his girlfriend's wellbeing. "You don't look too well. Is everything okay?"
The tomboy Cinderace took a deep breath. "Yeah, I'm fine," she responded. "Not sure what that was, but I'll power through..."
Just before she could finish her sentence, she started to feel light-headed. She tries to keep her balance and fight off the dizziness.
Cole tries to approach her, making sure she doesn't fall over, when suddenly, he senses a strange aura emanating from Scarlett. But before he could process the situation, something happened that caught him off guard. Her body started expanding.
Scarlett began to grow bigger than she already was. It started in spurts, with her becoming twice her previous height, and then her size doubling once more, but then her body had a continuous surge in growth. Cars in the path of her expanding form were crushed, buildings were toppled, and people were trapped under the warmth of her paws.
When Scarlett finally regained her composure, she rubbed her head in pain.
"Ugh," she complained, "what was that?"
She looked to her sides, confused at her surroundings. "Where the hell am I?" She took a step forward, and to her confusion, whatever she stepped on crumbled like sand falling apart, except it didn't feel like sand; it felt... gravel-ish. She looked down at the ground and...
"WHAT THE?!"
To her horror, what she stepped on was a portion of the city she was just in.
"Oh crap!" She balanced on one foot, trying not to bring her other one down on another city block.
Cole backed away, looking up in both awe and fear. He didn't know if he should run, or take his chances and hope she didn't flatten him too, not that he would mind if she did...
"No, focus, Cole!"" he told himself. He had to find a way to get Scarlett to shrink back down, or at least get her away from the city...
He didn't have much time to think, unfortunately, as Scarlett was starting to lose her balance, and Cole could only watch as she lost her footing, and fell over.

Macro March 2026 - Day 9

Sorry for the late entry. I had trouble thinking of a suitable setting for this one, but I figured it out. Hope you enjoyed this short story I made.
(No micros were harmed in the making of these renders... probably.)
