The original version of this thing wasn't that old (August, 2025), but I never really liked it. It was one of my first attempts to draw Rattmarr looking truly like himself, and I can't say it was successful. However, at the time, it was too difficult for me to fix it in a way I would be happy with. But I made enough other attempts over the past six months and decided that now I could redraw this thing and do it better than before. And I did.
Maybe Marr looks less cute and fluffy now, but he's not supposed to be like that. He has a rather specific appearance, and that's one of the reasons why it's so difficult for me to draw him.
You can also take a look at sketch redraw of another sheet (from July, 2025) that I didn't publish on DA.
And here is the description I left under the previous version (for schigls, the correct shortened form of his name sounds like Marr, but we can also call him Ratt х)):
"One of the main characters of my alternate story "Somber Side". I first drew him in 2023 (and he appeared even earlier).
His name is Gray-winged Raven Rattmarr.
I love this character and understand him well. Ratt considers himself an opportunist and a coward, and wants to be more principled and fearless. But in my eyes, he's not so cowardly, he just expects too much from himself.
His story can hardly be called beautiful. It's full of cruelty, fear and malice. But it may have a bright ending. I still don't know if that's true.
It all began with his journey through the cursed forest, where he and his comrades were attacked by one of the local terrible creatures. Ratt was almost the only one (and thought he was the only one) who survived, and later he felt guilty, believing that he had done wrong by running away instead of dying with the others. And his subsequent actions only convinced him of the truth of this conclusion. But the truth was that he had wandered into a place where dangers awaited him at every step, and every creature was bigger and stronger than him. And if he had been a courageous person he would have really died. Although perhaps it would have been better than the terrible journey he had made.
A small note for those who have seen Ratt before. Here I've mostly depicted him more battered and dirty. This is how he looks for most of the story, making his way through the wilds of forests and swamps, several times badly wounded and poisoned.
At the same time, I paid more attention to his facial expressions. I was especially interested in his toothy smile, awkward and slightly crazy because of it. And an expression of wild fear that makes him almost comical, if you forget that his life is in danger..."

I just wanted to say that I really like the way you portrayed your character, and in general, the execution of this work seems amazing to me: starting from the background and color solutions, ending with your overall artstyle and individual appearance of the character! His facial expressions look quite lively and there is an opportunity to better understand his personality or character traits - this is admirable and I would like to shake your hand as a sign of respect!
