Moving from the UK to Japan over a decade ago, I started a fun project creating fursonas of Japan's native animals. I thought it'd be fun to start creating furonas of the native animals from the UK combined with UK flowers.


Next up is golden hare.

The Golden Hare of Rathlin Island is a rare genetic variant of the Irish Hare, found exclusively on Rathlin Island. The flowers I chose were the

Western Gorse mingled among the purple Bell Heather, known to bloom on the island throughout summer.


I saw this amazing species on an episode of BBC Spring Watch and had to draw them!
