Summary: A farmer and his family are met face-to-face with Donkey from the Shrek universe, in which the giant donkey wants to stay with the family despite the family not feeling comfortable having a giant animal like him on their farm.
In the village of Nelson, Wisconsin, a farmer was in the barn house with his wife and his two children, both being sons named Josh and Nate. Josh is 9 years old and Nate is 5 years old. The family are enjoying their supper during the time of dawn. The farmer and his family are eating corn, cornbread, milk and fresh apples.
"Sure looks like the countryside is getting very peaceful out, father." Josh lets his father know that the village is feeling nice at sunset. "Thanks for the dinner. We thank you a lot for making the dinner."
"No problem, my boy. Your old man works hard on this farm to make dinner and get the chores done for everyone here!" The farmer replies, taking off his cowboy hat so he can focus eating and talking with his family for the remainder of the dinner meal. "You gotta appreciate your dad doing everything he can to get you all the hard work you need."
"We wanna be like you when you grow up!" Nate dreams of being like his father, wanting to be a farmer.
"I'm sure you boys will be absolutely like your father when you grow up!" The farmer's wife replies with a smile on her face. "He might let you take over the farm when he leave and move out of this village once you both have grown into adults in the future! I'm sure of it!"
The farmer takes a bite out of the cornbread he has on his plate, then drinks a couple of milk. The family seem to be enjoying their meal still.
Josh eats his apple, deciding to eat that first before moving on to the corn and cornbread. Nate does the same thing. The two sons know that eating the healthy apple is the first thing to finish first. But still, their parents are eating their corn and cornbread before moving on to the apple.
"Hey, sweetie, mind if I ask you something quick?" The farmer asks his wife a question.
"Sure, go on ahead. I'm listening." The farmer's wife responds, allowing him to bring in whatever he's about to bring up.
The farmer explains and begins his reasoning, saying, "I was thinking of having a trip to Minneapolis so we can see Aunt Sarah this upcoming summer. I haven't had any chances of meeting her in two years. I've missed her so much that I just felt like we all should visit her together!"
The farmer's wife and his sons agreed to this, joining in along with his plans seeing Aunt Sarah.
The family continues on with their meal, but they were soon interrupted when they felt things shaking a little, even the ripple was felt in the milk. The shaking was growing a little louder with more steps being heard from outside.
"What was... that?" The farmer's wife wondered where the sound was coming from.
From outside, it turns out a huge donkey was stomping through the trees in the village and was approaching towards the farm where the family is.
"Boy, the countryside may seem big, but they ain't ever seen a huge donkey such as myself around! This whole village needs a giant animal around at least!" Donkey happily says to himself, shouting loudly as his deep voice echoes through the village.
The huge donkey continues stomping and crushing the trees under his hooves without even noticing them at all. With each and every single step, it grew louder, vibrating the ground like a powerful earthquake. Nearby trees were feeling the tremors. Donkey has left several hoof prints behind, leaving a trail of damaged and crushed trees.
He eventually reached closer towards the farm with more steps and shook the surface of the earth.
Donkey looked more than excited to be meeting some tinies.
"I think there might be a big animal on our farm, dad." Josh tells his father realizing that Donkey's voice can be heard from outside.
"Don't know who it is, but it better get off of my farm immediately! I don't believe in such giant animals... That must be some fairy tale or something." The farmer looked suspicious over the animal one of his sons was talking about seconds now. Despite this, he and his family decide to go outside anyway.
Donkey stopping himself between the trees and farm, looks down at the farm, already knowing someone's about to come out and meet him with a shocking surprise.
The farmer and his family open the door and then proceed to meet this enormous-sized donkey who is waiting for them to see and notice him. When the entire family look up at the huge creature, they react in shock as he was big enough to have his head almost reaching the clouds above his head!
"Oh, my, goodness. There really is a big donkey on our farm!" The farmer's wife tells him that Josh was not wrong about a very large donkey showing up in the village and the farm itself.
"What are you doing on my farm? Get off of my farm, you big donkey!" The farmer yelled at Donkey, throwing his right fist in the air and demanded that the donkey leaves his farm and his family alone, not appreciating the huge donkey on their farm.
"Now that's NOT how you treat your big guests, mister! You forgot who's the giant around here!" Donkey retorts back with the farmer, shutting him up and suggests he and his family listen to him. "The name's Donkey, the friend of the ogre Shrek! I'm here to stay in this village and also on this farm whether you like it or not! Donkey is the boss of this farm and I'm in charge now!" He boasts with confidence.
Unsure what the massive donkey was planning to do next, the family has chose to do whatever he wants and he has to say as a way of not getting anywhere on his bad side.
"Y-You really wanna stay here?" Josh asks Donkey, still feeling nervous and worried about having a huge donkey staying on his farm and in his village overall. "I'm not sure if it's really alright keeping such big donkeys on my farm, though..."
"Of course I'm staying! Never say you can't have any big donkey like me on this farm!" Donkey replies with happiness, more joyful than he ever has been right now.
"Oh, boy..." The farmer muttered under his breath.
"No kidding. This donkey's gonna be staying in our village and on our farm!" The farmer's wife tells herself, feeling kinda disappointed, yet a bit happy allowing Donkey to stay with her and her family.
Donkey jumps over the trees, leaping high into the air, shaking the ground very loudly like an extremely powerful earthquake, and causing the humans near him to fall off of their feet. The area, filled with trees, was felt in the tremors, resulting in some trees to collapse, destroyed, no longer existing like they used to be.
The farmer and his family look at the huge donkey with angry expressions, not happy with him jumping despite the fact he's happy being a giant and he can do anything as much as he pleases!
The huge donkey's shadow loomed over the humans once more as he stomps closer toward them.
"You gotta warn us before you do that!" The farmer looks up at the huge donkey, telling him to give him and his family a warning about the huge donkey leaping into the air and come back down nicely with powerful stomp shaking sound.
"My bad. Clearly when you're big, you just wanna jump into the air and shake everything around you! That's what big donkeys love to do when they're so gigantic!" Donkey replies happily, his deep voice continues to echo through the village. "I'm too powerful!"
"Just be careful. It doesn't matter how big you are." The farmer's wife tells the huge donkey.
The donkey apologizes, though he still couldn't promise the tiny humans he can always control himself when he's huge because it means he can cause destruction and damage wherever he goes.
"Come on, I'm gonna give you all a ride with the big donkey! I promise it'll be very fun as it would always be, everyone!" Donkey leans down, pulling out his front left hoof out for the humans, allowing to come with him for the journey.
The family was nervous at first, but decide to jump onto his huge donkey's hoof as he told them. Then, the donkey carefully places them behind his back for a good view in the air.
After that, Donkey proceeds to stomp forward, beginning with his front left hoof. It starts to shake the ground with each and every single powerful, booming steps coming from his hooves. He stomped his way through the village, leaving the farm and take the farmer and his family along with him for a journey while they're riding on his back.
"Man, we look so high up from this view." Nate tells his mother, who agrees with him, as he looks down for a brief second that they are 200 feet away from the ground.
"It ain't that bad riding a giant donkey now, is it?" Donkey asks the small humans behind him.
"Nope, not at all." The farmer's wife responds with a nervous smile on her face, enjoying the view as she and the others continue riding on him for a while as he continues his walk through the trees!
"Exactly! You just gotta admit that riding on giant animals is pretty fun! I get that from fantasy movies!" Donkey reminds the humans that riding on big creatures, as if it was taken straight out of a movie, would be exciting.
Donkey continues his stroll through the village once more, destroying, crushing and stomping on more trees below his massive hooves. This huge donkey, who is several meters tall, is more heavy than anyone would be thinking of.
