Considering the fur, scale male would be more practical as the metal isn't free floating rings (Depending on style) but...the lack of coverage is of concern (Although I've worn Leather in Texas heat. That's a new level of holy fook)

I do like the look of scale armor on the ladies, but yes. Shoulder guards and helmets do get uncomfortably hot in sunny weather.
