I really wanted to convert two of my favorite character crushes into MLP designs! Honey Tone is inspired by Fat Gum from My Hero Academia.

He comes from a family of horses although his father was a pony. He's pretty gigantic, but still resembles ponies more in features, such as the shape of his head and the fact that he has a horn. Horses do not have pegasi or unicorn subspecies the way ponies do, and it's believed they themselves are a larger branch of earth ponies.

While he's gigantic like the rest of his family and fits in well, his parents have struggled to teach him magic, which has become more frustrating as he's developed a taste for music. He leaves home eventually for the sake of honing his magic better in order to become a better musician. The lyre is his instrument of choice although he knows the basics of some others.

While he looks similar to ponies, his size inadvertently ostracizes him since he finds it hard to function when everything is made for smaller bodies. Horses are viewed as heavy, clumsy, and lugging which, in addition to his already plush figure forces him to keep to himself. Eventually, he meets Roscoe, a diamond dog travelling to discover food. The two of them become fast friends, travelling together in order to further their passions towards food and music.

While they greatly enjoyed traveling together, they both eventually agreed that they needed a home base-- somewhere to live and come back to. They decided to try their luck in Ponyville since it had a reputation for open-mindedness due to the School of Friendship.

While settling into town, the two befriended a local beverage vendor, Blackberry Fizz, who went out of her way to push for accommodations for larger species within the town. The three eventually realize they have feelings for each other and become a happy little trio.
