I honestly was shocked I hadn't uploaded this already, given it's of possibly my most iconic and well known character. Hell, Kawheek is so popular that he's often mistaken for ME.

In any case, Kawheek is an Asari, a species of short, hawklike humanoids that live in small communal villages in mountainous terrain. Villages rarely exceed 400 heads (and that includes the Thoradan sister race). The species rarely grows much over 3 feet, making Kawheek particularly tall as he stands 3'6" without counting wings. They worship the goddess Faenya, and generally are very curious and inquisitive, and sometimes a bit reckless. This puts the massively ordered Kawheek out of step with his own culture, and as a result he often does not stay long even in Hashinshira, which is his adopted home and the place he is considered to have saved from hostile action some years ago, earning the title Anapheos(Dawn-Bringer) from Faenya directly.

Of particular note, the 'circlet' on his head is not a physical object; it's a direct alteration of the color of his feathers on his brow to make his "Anapheos" status clear to others of his race.
