After retiring after 40 years of work, I decided to buy a retirement gift. This is a 1977 Gibson L5-S solid body electric guitar. They didn't make a lot of them but this was something I wanted for decades. Plus,I got it at a very good price.

I'm a hollowbody guy at heart, but I would love to have one of these. You're right: they didn't make many of them.
And, this one is amazingly clean for a '77; even the gold hardware still looks almost new.
