Ok, technically the esophagus stops where Leon's neck is. But here is the general idea of how my belly could be depicted. The rest of him will go soon enough, but for now he gets to rest in the tingling sensations and fleshy plush belly.
The blue stuff is the glowing slime of my belly converting the mass of his limbs to more of its self to fuel my body. Most the time it starts at all the tips of the body. Fingers, toes, tails, and works its way up. Some one half my size can go all in at once, but in this case I had to take in his feet first and digest them as I went before his body settled in.

He does not look like he is in pain heh. Naw, unless you count panic some times induced by seeing your limbs seemingly dissolve, there is no foreseeable pain they way my digestive system is designed.
The missing limbs and all that is not beyond me, but it is the first time I have drawn it, and further more I decided to post it at the same time so a couple firsts.

Depends on what the story calls for, as that is the main factor in most the things I do.
As for the later bit, I like to talk about my creations when ever I have something I think is worth taking about them.
