Just practicing making 3D fur for an upcoming model idea.... How does this look?
Please be a critic, point out the flaws and I will try to work on them! I am aiming for a non toony model, so this has to look realistic!

Oh! You mean like star trails, from when you keep your camera pointed at the sky and the the shutter open for hours; thus exposing on frame of film to the continuous path that that the stars take, across the sky, due to the movement of the earth, right? Because that's what I'm seeing. ^!^
Yeah, it looks really good, at first glance; nice and chaotic, like real fur, but then, I started to notice this rainbowing effect, as the lighter fur transitions into darker fur.
Also, I think the lighter hairs, in the middle, are are all parallel, and that's what's creating the star-steak effect (like I described above, or one could think of Star Trek, when the ship goes to warp). The more I look at this, the more I feel you need to "mix-in" a fair handful of anti-parallel hairs. ^!^
