Months have passed since the animal-trapping scientist Doctor Vanderbilt was ousted from the woods he used to terrorize, thanks to the efforts of Kassie the Wolf and the critter friends she made while in the doctor's clutches. The house in which he lived has remained untouched ever since, no animal being bold enough to search it for themselves.
Finally, Kassie decides to search the place herself, especially since there appear to be signs that the house might be inhabited again. At the very least, it's a chance for her to see if there's anything edible in his kitchen that she can fill her belly with, seeing as the doctor won't be needing it anymore. Luckier still, the outside door to the kitchen has a dog door, granting her easy access.
...At least, it *would* have given her easy access, if it wasn't for that same belly of hers being too big to squeeze through. It *is* a dog door, after all, and not a wolf door. It seems it may take her longer than she expected to have her look around the house, and she can only hope that no one else needs to use the dog door for the moment...
