He can move the braid like a tail even when it's entirely made of hair. If the hair is cut, it wouldn't be felt anymore then cutting hair normally does. But if Mro's braid is cut during or after the transformation into an actual tail THEN he would feel it, and it would hurt TTwTT

I'll be honest I'm still figuring out how damage/healing works with characters like this ^^' I think that shifting can be used to recover a missing body part (it can create new limbs so it makes sense). But without the right skills there's a chance something can become permanently damaged or lost.
I'll think more on this! Maybe I'll come up with the specifics later. TY for the question!
