Process of ordering one of my ref sheets:
Getting a quote - These are fully customizable and price varies with features and complexity of the character, so there will be some upfront discussion about expectations, budget, and what is wanted for the sheet. When I have a good idea of the amount of work to be put in, I'll give you a quote, and if all seems good I'll send you an invoice on PayPal (Ko-fi and Square also available).

Character inspiration - If you don't have a character design yet, need a bit of design work done, or just really want me to get a good feel for them, I will send you some questions about what you're looking for in the character - species, features, shapes, themes, color scheme, personality, etc, as well as outside inspiration from other media - other characters, body types, aesthetics etc. We will discuss your character in detail so that I get a feel for them.

Design Phase - This is generally the phase with the most back-and-forth communication. First, I will sketch the general design of the character in my style, share it with you and make edits until we have a design we're happy with. I will also do flat color for the initial Fullbody so that we get the colors/markings locked in as well.

Sketching & Layout Phase - I will sketch out each part of the ref and come up with a general layout for how it will be put together, and get feedback from you until we are happy with the way things look.

Lineart & Coloring Phase - This one generally takes the most time between communication, as I will go through and line/color all the sketches to make them nice, shiny character artworks. I will send you a WIP to make sure all looks good.

Shading and Polishing - I will add cel shading (if ordered), and some highlights, details, outlines etc to make each part pop.

Background and Accessories - I assemble the sheet in Adobe Illustrator, add a simple background, name plate, info card(s), color palette, and any other details.

Final Pass - I hand off the finished ref to you for a final review. If anything needs fixing, I will make edits, and if not, it's all yours! 🙌 I usually will post it on FA and Bsky and tag you, unless you wish otherwise.

Notes on Character Rights

On ordering one of my ref sheets:
-You retain all usage rights to your character.
-Once the ref sheet is complete, you own all rights to the design, it is yours to do with what you please.
-The artwork and reference sheet itself is to be credited to me, and may not be claimed as anyone else's work. However, you own the artwork.
-If for whatever reason I stop receiving communication from you for over 60 days, or you decide you no longer want the sheet:
-I unfortunately cannot offer refunds (If it is very early in the process, a partial refund may be considered, but not guaranteed.)
-Any work done on the sheet will likely be recycled into something I can use for future work (adoptables etc). The design would be heavily altered in this case.
