You trip into the strings, despite the fact they’re near glowing in the dark. Or perhaps you simply stumble into them, but really it doesn’t matter since the result is all the same.
It burns, especially compared to the chill of the hallways you’ve wandered, a heat spreading from them as you struggle, flesh shifting to goo that glows and glimmers like embers. You can’t even call for help, mouth disappearing as your body shifts and changes into something new, something quite far from human anymore.
Hands to paws, large paws, just like the ones that your feet have become, flame and fire curling in your chest and veins as ears burst free into existence upon your head. Perhaps this won’t be so bad, why did you ever try to resist in the first place?
