The first set of major arcana cards, covering arcana 0-5! 0, 1, and 4 retain their figurehead from my original crack at a tarot deck, while 2 comes from my first revision, and 3 and 5 are new to this complete deck.
The Fool represents a leap of faith, innocence, and new beginnings. It is a blank slate, infinite potential. And reflecting this card is Jocelyn from Unbound- the main character of the story, who doesn't really fit in anywhere.
Magician represents willpower, resourcefulness, and manifestation. As the face of this card I have chosen Claudia the leader of the Clay Pigeons mercenary league. She looks entirely human but is actually a slug anthro, and while she isn't very big or strong- her quick-wittedness and adaptability in combat make her a lethal opponent.
High Priestess is a card that represents intuition, subconscious mind, and mystery. Ember the sighthound/fox from Rebound represents this card. She knows what she wants and will always try to achieve it, regardless of the danger. Even when she lost her memories, her personality remained intact; even a bullet couldn't take that from her.
The Empress card stands for abundance, nurturing, and fertility. Representing this in turn is Queen Alraune of the (formerly) flying kingdom of Velen. To fit her on the card I had to prune her quite a bit- she is gigantic compared to normal humans. As a plant anthro, she also does not age like normal people, and remains ruler of Velen even after the fall.
Emperor represents authority, masculine energy, and stability. For this I chose the peacock priest Athair from Soulbound. An indirect remnant of a fallen kingdom, Athair's rebellious youth lead him to a humble path as an adult and unintentionally ends up adopting Ame and teaching him of the world the best he can.
Hierophant represents tradition, conformity, and mentorship. For this I chose the black sheep Shephard from Rebound. A street rat taken in by a criminal organization found himself as its leader after the previous one was taken out by a rival group. Trying to earn the power and authority he was never able to have before- he gathers the remaining members and seeks a swift revenge for their fallen.
