BOH fan project-Righteous Indignation redesign
Gotta say, I loved the ship's design in the cartoon and comic.....but for a battleship it was relatively small (like two minibuses put together, and command bridge was the size of a car, I think?). It's somewhat bigger here, but still smaller when compared to other ships.
Name of the ship: Righteous Indignation (if you ask me, coolest fucking name for a spaceship EVER)
UAF registry code: LH-0707-1949
Class: "Banana Runner" (Interceptor)
Function: Patrol ship
First launch: 7th of Quinmonth, A.Y. (Aniversal Year) 2137.
Commissioned: 15th of Septamonth, A.Y. 2137.

Despite being smaller when compared in size to other United Animals Fleet ships, even other patrol ships, Righteous Indignation is not something to be laughed at. What it lacks in size, it makes up for, big time, in it's fearsome firepower. Heavily customized from top to bottom by the Baboon twins, this ship's weaponry is powerful enough to mow down an entire fleet of Toad fighters with it's twin maser cannons and four automated turrets (two on each side of the ship). Shields are strong enough to endure a blast of a neutron bomb within close proximity. Engines are powered by the experimental photon accelerator, allowing the ship not only to move at incredible speed, but also to jump into hyperdrive twice the speed of the usual Fleet ships, and perform a bit more than three jumps before starting to overheat. Combined with all this, the ship is indeed a force to be reckoned with, and very few enemies got to realize what hit them before it was too late. However, due to it's function as a patrol ship, Righteous Indignation rarely sees action, and is only invited to join the battle in the moments of desperation. Perhaps, some day it will get to show off it's strength more often, and live up to it's name...

Yeesh. If anything needed a redesign, it was this ship's weapons placement. Seriously, one cannon on the front with a limited range of mobility? I love the series but always found that this particular design aesthetic was one of the few things that definitely, definitely needed revamping. Here it just looks kind of fatter.
Nice handiwork on the righteous indignation. ^^ one of my all time favorite ships, and you did it justice.
It's a lot bigger then it was, but the original wasn't quite as tiny as you think. was still pretty cramped though.
in the series it was a frigate that was pretty much the front line of defense for the UAF capital. Don't know know if that equates patrol craft though, but hey this one was your own call. Besides even by the end of the toon itself there was still only three ships. (oh no, the dreaded three man army! XD ) so a lot is left up to the imagination.
As for the ships code... looks like a date to me. but no idea what it could refer too that would be from then.
