Calliophis intestinalis.
The Banded Malaysian Coral Snake, also aptly named Striped Coral Snake, is a species of the Calliophis genus and can be found in southern regions of Thailand.
While not as famous as its relative, the Blue Coral Snake (C. birvigatus), this tiny elapid does possess an extremely potent venom that is considered dangerous to humans; its venom glands are in fact so large that they extend far into the upper body which is what earned this genus their common name - Long Glanded Coral Snakes. Like all members of the Calliophis genus, it preys mainly on other snakes.
It can be distinguished from other Calliophis members by its vertebral stripe which appears either reddish or pale orange in colour and a lateral whitish stripe.
