So I've run a Zelda TTRPG a few times, and in all of them, it was set at some point many years after BotW/TotK, and Ganon was there.
This particular reincarnation has vague memories from his previous incarnations, but had the incredible good luck to find a Very Cool Wife who encouraged him to be a little less murdery. He HAS become King of the Gerudo again, but only after proving himself to be actually a pretty good leader, and also because the previous queen did a really bad job handling a Demon Incursion Crisis. He still has no love for Hyrule, nor its royal family, nor the Hero he's pretty sure is bound to turn up at some point and try to kill him because that Always Happens.
Also, unfortunately his Very Cool Wife died due to Demons killing her, and this has caused him to start going back to his old villainous ways. His daughters are of course worried about him, but also undyingly loyal to him and willingly serve as his most trusted generals, warriors, and mages (except for Rana and Kalta who are too young... although Rana usually sneaks out to do heroic stuff against his wishes anyway).
Typically in every game I've run, the party tends to find some way to broker a tenuous peace between him and the Hyrulean Royals, at least while they've both got The Demons to worry about.
